Madhya Pradesh Thalassemia Welfare Society was registered on 20th December 1994. MPTWS provides free services and facilities for children suffering from Thalassemia. Regular camps are held for economically backward class people of the society who cannot afford the high expenses for the treatment of Thalassemia.
MPTWS has also founded a Charitable Hospital and Blood Bank which operates at Indore and patients from accros Madhya Pradesh in India are provided free treatment. Rinku Sharma Charitable Hospital and Blood Bank was initiated by Shri. Chandrashekhar Sharma after his son Rinku Sharma was diagnosed with Thalassemia. The Hospital provides free hospitalisation for Blood transfusion and treatment.
Apart from free Blood Transfusion, MPTWS provides required Medicines, Desfrol Pump along with treatment as may be required.
MPTWS has done various free camps and is in constant progress to provide all the treatment facilities to the children at one place and is getting a good response from the public in the city, specially from those who are aware of this fatal disease.
The association runs an exlusive hospital for sickle cell anemia and is a charitable institution which has the prime function to make people aware about this fatal cause.
The Hospital organises camps, awareness campaigns and blood for transfusion is made available for poor families free of cost.
